Woman punched in face during handbag robbery

Police are appealing for information after the 25-year-old woman was atttacked in Mansfield yesterday (Sunday January 21)

She was walking along Nursery Street, when the man approached her from behind and grabbed the bag from her shoulder, causing it to snap, at around 6pm.

The woman was dragged along as she tried to hold on to the bag, before being hit in the face.

Anyone who witnessed the robbery or has any information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 712 of 21 January 2018.
