A woman had to be cut free following a three-car pile-up in Mansfield.

The female motorist, who is in her 30s, had to be extricated by fire crews after the smash on Water Lane at around 5pm.

Crews from Mansfield, Ashfield and specialist rescue units from Tuxford were called to the scene, where two others - a man and a woman in their 60s - had managed to free themselves from their vehicles.
