Woman charged with murder after child death
A 23-year-old woman has been charged following the death of a seven-year-old girl in Bestwood Park, police have revealed.
Kay-Ann Morris, of Beckhampton Road in Bestwood Park, is charged with murder. She will remain in police custody until her appearance before Nottingham magistrates on Monday 4th August, a Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said.
The girl, whose body was discovered at a house in Beckhampton Road on Thursday (31st July), has yet to be formally identified.

Hide AdA Home Office post-mortem examination established the preliminary cause of death to be a head injury.
A 47-year-old man, who was also arrested in connection with the death, has been released without further action.
