Woman arrested in child sex abuse probe at former Bulwell children’s home

A woman has been arrested as part of ongoing enquiries into Operation Daybreak - the inquiry into historical child sex abuse in Nottinghamshire children’s homes.

The 65-year-old was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of indecent assault and aiding and abetting a rape offence, alleged to have happened at the former Bracken House in Bulwell between 1972 and 1973.

Police say the woman has been bailed pending further enquiries.

It is the 11th arrest made under Operation Daybreak, with a total of four suspects remaining on police bail.
