Woman arrested after death of child
A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a seven-year-old girl, police have revealed.
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called to a property in the Bestwood Park area at about 5.10am today (Thursday, 31st July) after concerns for the child.
A 47-year-old man was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault. Both remain in custody pending further investigation.
A post mortem examination is due to take place this evening.
