Witnesses wanted to Alfreton assault which left a man with a broken jaw

Police are trying to trace witnesses to an assault which left a man with a broken jaw.

A 30-year-old man was in the car park of the King Alfred pub, in High Street, Alfreton at around 10pm on Friday, 27th September when he was approached by a man he knows.

The man punched him in the face, fracturing his jaw in two places. He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment.

The man who assaulted him is described as white, in his early 20s, of large build with cropped brown hair.

There were several people in the car park at the time who have yet to come forward.
