Witnesses urged to come forward after Mansfield nightclub glassing

Revellers at a Mansfield nightclub are being asked to step forward with information following a serious assault.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was attacked in the Late Lounge, in Leeming Street, Mansfield around 12.50am on Sunday, 22nd December.

He sustained serious head and facial injuries which are believed to have been caused by a glass, requiring stitches and will need further treatment.

A 27-year-old man and a 45-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and bailed pending further enquiries.

A police spokesperson said: “While two people have been arrested in connection with this attack, it is important that we speak to anyone who was in the Late Lounge and who saw what happened. We would urge anyone with information to contact us.”
