Witnesses sought after alleged robbery in Mansfield

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an alleged robbery in Mansfield.

Officers received a report that a woman was pulled off her BMX by a male, causing her to fall to the ground, before he rode off on the bike.

It happened on the path running alongside the back of the Cuckoo Birch pub on Jubilee Way South at about 2.40pm on Wednesday November 16.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information about it.

They would particularly like to hear from two women who were sat at the bus stop on Jubilee Way South opposite the pub.

Anyone who witnessed the alleged incident or who has any information that could help is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 442 of 16 October.

Tyler Beech, 19, of Lindhurst Lane, Mansfield, has been charged with robbery. He has been bailed to appear at Mansfield Magistrates' Court on December 21.
