Window-cleaner fined for push that led to vicious assault
But he had pushed the victim to the ground in the first place, it was claimed, and so had to face the music.
Ricky Palmer, 32, of Pepper Street, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentence after pleading guilty to assaulting John Street in an incident at Hucknall Road, Newstead on Friday, March 11.

That other man, who allegedly kicked Mr Street while he was on the ground, is due to appear in court on June 22, the judge, Recorder Nigel Daly, was told.
The judge also heard from Mr Johnson that Palmer was trying hard to build up his window-cleaning business. “He is also responsible for four young children with his partner, who is in court to support him,” said the barrister.
In fining Palmer £500, Recorder Daly told him: “I am sentencing you for pushing Mr Street over. What the other man did was completely separate. I understand you tried to stop what he was doing.”
