A full day of festivities, music and entertainment is coming to Mansfield - and your family have the chance to experience it as VIPs.
The annual event, which will bring spirit to the town with Christmas markets, Santa’s grotto and a live entertainment stage, will end with the traditional lights switch-on and a magical firework display.
And your newspaper has teamed up with event organisers to give away five VIP family tickets to The Big Switch On, which takes place on Sunday, November 15.
VIP guests will be transported to and from the event, courtesy of 6 Five 2’s taxi company, and see the main stage, lights switch on and firework display from a special VIP area.
Party songs will warm up the main stage from 3pm, followed by performances by Mansfield singer Ashley Rebanks, Mansfield Rock Choir and Brass Band and the chance to learn circus skills and magic tricks.
Guests can also prepare to take a celebrity selfie as stars from the Palace Theatre’s Aladdin pantomime will be making appearances and performing around the town, including the Panto baddie Abanazar,
Mansfield BID will also be running an Aladdin-themed treasure hunt with prizes up for grabs.
Younger members of the audience will also get to meet Christmas elves on stilts and Paddington™ bear in the crowd during intervals at the show.
