Students at West Nottinghamshire College in Mansfield are among the happiest in the country -- and that’s official.
For the college is among the highest scoring in the UK for student satisfaction, according to wide-ranging national research.
Results of a learner exit survey, which sought the views of those who studied on courses during the 2017/18 academic year, have placed West Notts in the top 25 per cent for positive feedback.
Almost 2,000 students from the Mansfield college took part by completing an online questionnaire, produced by market-research specialists QDP Services. Their responses brought scores of between 94 per cent and 99 per cent in all categories.
Julian Smith, the college’s director of innovation and learning, said: “The opinions of our students really matter to us and shape our range of provision and serfvices. So it’s pleasing to receive such overwhelmingly positive scores.
“This is a testament to our staff who work tirelessly to ensure students receive high-quality learning, with access to great facilities and wider learning opportunities. All in an environment that is safe, supportive and inclusive.”
The categories in the survey included teaching and learning, tests and assessments, facilities and services, personal development, behaviour and welfare, overall experience, and progression.
