Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

Today any early cloud will slowly become confined to coastal areas, where it'll feel cool. Some warm sunny spells developing for most otherwise but a chance of afternoon showers, perhaps heavy and thundery, most likely over the Derbyshire hills. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight any showers will slowly die away during the evening, followed by a largely dry night with clear skies and light winds. The odd shower is still possible though. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Wednesday: Another day of sunshine and scattered showers, heavier and more frequent in the west, perhaps locally thundery over the Derbyshire hills. A warm day though cooler along coasts. Maximum temperature 25 °C.
