Snow forecast to hit Mansfield tomorrow as Met Office extends weather warning

Today will be breezy with a mixture of sunny spells and wintry showers, these mainly over the hills. Generally drier and brighter in the east of the region. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight wintry showers will be continuing mainly over the hills, with some clear spells in the east initially. Cloud thickening overnight, with rain and hill snow later in the night. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice across much of the UK on Thursday.

Snow is forecast from 4am-9am on Thursday which will be heavy at times.

Rain to start with some brief sleet or wet snow possible. This clearing through the morning to leave showers with some sunny spells for the afternoon. Becoming windy. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
