Cold start to the day with plenty of sunshine to come across Nottinghamshire

The Met Office has forecast a cold start but it should be dry with plenty of sunshine.

However, high cloud may turn conditions hazy later in the afternoon and light to moderate north-westerly breezes are expected, according to the Met Office.

By tonight, The Met Office has stated it should remain dry with any cloud around in the evening breaking up to leave largely clear skies.

Conditions should turn colder with a widespread frost and the chance of the odd patch of mist or shallow fog.

Temperatures could reach highs of seven degrees centigrade and lows of minus one degrees centigrade, according to the Met Office.

The Met Office has forecast temperatures of around two degrees centigrade between 8am and 9am rising to six degrees by 1pm to 3pm before dropping to one degree centigrade by midnight.
