Gales of up to 70mph are expected to batter Notts today, according to the Met Office.
The southwesterly wind is expected to become strong during this morning and continue into the afternoon.
Gusts of 50-60 mph are likely with a risk of isolated gusts of 65-70 mph in exposed areas in the north of the county.
The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to travel.
