The Met Office has issued a ‘yellow warning’ after strong winds of up to 70mph are predicted to cause disruption across the region this weekend.
The winds are expected to last until 6pm Sunday.
A chief forecaster at the Met Office said: “A low pressure system is expected to move east to the north of Scotland on Saturday strengthening winds across the UK but particularly across England and Wales.
“The winds in association with this are expected to be very gusty and whilst the strongest winds are likely to be around coasts exposed to the westerly or southwesterly winds. some strong gusts are also expected inland.”
