The day will begin brightly with plenty of sunshine expected early morning, but will cloud over as we get towards midday, interspersed with sunny spells.

Temperatures will still struggle to topple 16c, below the average this time of year, and will begin to dip as the rain sets in from around 2pm onwards.

Showers and sunny spells are predicted for the rest of the day.

However, Sunday is expected to be better, and drier.

Temperatures could get up to 18c, closer to the average, and prolonged sunny spells are predicted.

This will continue into the beginning of next week with no further rain forecast...yet.
