Water Meadows open to the public after safety concerns forced closure

Water Meadows swimming and fitness complex is open to the public as normal following its sudden closure over the weekend.

The popular swimming baths closed on Sunday following concerns that falling debris on the roof could cause safety issues to customers and members of the public.

It reopened today (Monday) after work was completed to repair the issues.

A spokesman said: "We have reopened today as usual and all regular services are back on just as they normally would.

"We closed because there was falling debris on the roof which caused safety concerns, however this has been amended and we are okay to open again.

"Thank you for your patience."
