Waste management firm staff hits the heights in peak charity challenge

When adventurous volunteers from A Nottinghamshire waste management company decided to raise money for the Variety charity, they aimed even higher than leg waxing or head-shaving.

Instead, the intrepid employees at Veolia, waste contractors for Nottinghamshire County Council, opted to tackle some of Britain’s toughest terrain in the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge, scaling the three highest mountain peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within an arduous 24-hours.

This gruelling challenge saw the team walk to the peak of Scafell Pike in the Lake District, Ben Nevis in Scotland and Mount Snowdon in North Wales - climbing a total of 11,179 feet in a day.
