Warsop surgery hoping to extend hours

A GP surgery is seeking permission to open for longer hours, meaning patients could see a doctor from 6am.

The Warsop Primary Care Centre on Church Street has applied to extend their hours to 14 hours a day, which could it also will not close until 8pm during the week, and 6am until 6pm on a Saturday.

Practice manager Jackie Jones said: “We operate two surgeries in Meden Vale and Warsop.

“All our patients are registered with Meden Medical Services and not a particular site, therefore patients can travel between the two sites .”

The application has been put to Mansfield District Council’s planning department.
