Why is the centre closing to the public?

In April 2017 Mansfield District Council took the decision to withdraw from managing Meden Sports Centre. This decision was based on long-standing concerns over the condition of the building and despite investment of over £500,000 since 2012, the facility is considered unsustainable for the future.
