Warsop Post Office to get a fresh look

Warsop Post Office is to be refurbished to create a more modern environment for customers as well as providing increased opening hours.

As part of Post Office plans to modernise the network and extend the opening hours for customers, the High Street branch will have four serving positions.

This will be a mixture of one screened counter position, two open plan and a Post Office serving point at the retail counter - a new concept for delivering Post Office services with Post Office products and services available alongside retail transactions during shop opening hours.

To enable work to take place the branch will be closed from Friday 19th April until Friday 26th April inclusive. The new-look Post Office re-opens on Saturday 27th April at 9am.

During the refurbishment alternative Post Offices in the area are Church Warsop, 79 Laurel Avenue, Church Warsop, Mansfield, NG20 0TE and Shirebrook, 221 Station Road, Shirebrook, Mansfield, NG20 8AF

Post Office regional network manager for Central England, Adrian Wales, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Warsop and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.

He added: “This modernisation is part of a three-year investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office, that will see around 6000 branches (about half the Post Office network) converting to new-style branches. This investment makes a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
