A milkman has been attacked by a masked robber who made off with his van.
The robbery took place at about 1.30am today (9th May) as the 55-year-old victim was carrying out his rounds in Sycamore Street, Church Warsop.
When he had stopped to make a delivery he was approached from behind by a man wearing a goblin mask.
He was then kicked in the face as he tried to stop the offender from making off with the van, which was full of milk and a small amount of cash.
The offender was about 6ft tall and of a slim build. He was wearing dark coloured clothing, plimsoll style shoes and a grey fancy-dress style mask.
The stolen van is a white Ford Transit milk float and featured the Dairy Crest logo in green and yellow.
Police believe there may have been witnesses in the area at the time and are appealing to anyone who may have seen the robbery taking place or the offender, matching the description, in the area.
If you have any information or see the van contact Woodhouse CID on 101 extension 805 3461 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
