Warning over number plate thefts
Police are calling on motorists to report the theft of number plates from their vehicles.
While it may seem little more than an inconvenience for the car owner to replace the plate, officers say it can lead to problems later on.
John Duke administrator for the police in Ashfield, said: “They are often stolen for criminal activities and it will save you from getting parking fines or a visit from the police regarding a crime associated with your vehicle.”
