VIDEO: Stags stars play Santa for sick kids

Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray led his squad to King’s Mill hospital to deliver presents to poorly children.

Players and staff brought sack loads of gifts for patients in the children’s medical ward, before taking time to chat with family and sign autographs.

Murray said it was one of the most important days in the club’s calendar.

“I believe that days like today are so important for our club, which is at the heart of the community,” said Adam.

“In our profession, we are privileged to do what we do day-to-day. At this time of year, it is our chance to give a little back to the kids of our community who may be experiencing tough times.

“If we can put one smile on a youngster’s face for one minute of one day, we will have affected somebody’s life in a positive way.”

The club would like to thank Booker wholesalers for providing the presents to the children at the hospital.
