Speaking after the ceremony on Friday 17th October, Gloria said: ““With the help of Ashfield District Council they’ve done a remarkable job to transform this site into what is now a terrific place for young people and the wider community to come and use.”

The project was made possible after the district authority leased the site to Bracken Hill for the next ten years.

Head teacher Ron McCrossen added; “It’s all about making sure they get the chances in our own area and giving them the opportunity to make a difference here rather than having to move on somewhere else.

“Thanks to this college we’ve now reached another level when to comes to achieving and improving the outcomes and aspirations of our students.”
