VIDEO: Man dies in crash with bridge in Ashfield

A man has died after his car collided with a bridge in Ashfield.

Huthwaite Lane, Blackwell, scene of a fatal accident on Monday morning.

Police were called to Huthwaite Lane, near Huthwaite, after reports that a Ford Fiesta had collided with a bridge at around 6.50am yesterday (April 11).

The driver thought to be a man in his 40s, died at the scene.

The road was closed while collision investigators examined the scene but it was re-opened at 10am.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 95 of April 11.
