VIDEO: M1 crash causes traffic chaos
Motorists were stuck in traffic chaos after a crash on the M1 near Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire this morning (February 18).
Emergency services were called to the accident after two cars collided on the Northbound carriageway at J29 at around 7.30am.
The ambulance service took one female casualty to Chesterfield hospital for further treatment.
Highways England closed two lanes and the hard shoulder, causing heavy congestion in the area.
The traffic was particularly heavy on the A617, which has backed up in both directions into Chesterfield and Nottinghamshire.
