Video: Gales damage roof at Mansfield Tesco

Staff cordoned off part of the car park at the Oak Tree store as roof panels threatened to detach.

A Met Office weather warning for strong winds continues to be in place throughout the day on Tuesday.

A Tesco spokesperson said, “Part of the roof at our store was affected by the high winds today. Our highest priority is the safety of our customers and colleagues and we have cordoned off part of the shop floor until our engineers can carry out repairs. No-one was hurt and our store remains open.”
