Crews from Mansfield, Ashfield, Edwinstowe, Blidworth, Bingham and Arnold stations attended the factory on Belle Eau Park, Kirklington Road, after the building became engulfed in flames at around 2.30am.

A water bowser, a high volume pump and an aerial ladder platform were used to dampen the flames and a command support unit was sent out.

A man who lives two doors down from the factory described it as an ‘inferno’.

He said: “At first I thought it would have been a controlled fire - but then I realised the whole lot was in flames. Smoke was everywhere.”
