Retro video footage shows a pet chimpanzee being brought up like a child by a couple in Mansfield.
The six-minute film, released by British Pathe, reveals a day in the life of the 16-month-old chimp called Rikki.
He can be seen being washed and dried by Marie Wakefield in her home. She dresses him in a nappy and jumper and combs his hair.
Rikki then happily plays on a rocking horse and swing before Marie and her husband Jim put him in a pram and push him to the shops - where he sits on Santa's knee.
The video was recorded in 1966. We hope little Rikki had a good life!
