Celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli helped to whip up a treat for shoppers in Leeds.

The multi-Michelin star winning chef hosted a special cookery demonstration to shoppers at the Merrion Centre as part of the Leeds Food and Drink Festival.

Wok & Go also took to the stage at the weekend to create Asian fusion dishes while the team from the Pita Pit taught the crowds how to make low fat healthy meals.

The popular Leeds Food and Drink Festival, which is now in its tenth year, will see local bars, restaurants and producers host special events showcasing the city’s culinary delights.

The festival will culminate in the return of the Yorkshire Post Food and Drink Show at Millennium Square in Leeds city centre between June 5 and 7.

The festival is part of Leeds Food Month, which runs until June 7.
