Video: Apprentice contestant Elizabeth chases a goose to safety

It was a wild goose chase with a difference for Southwell florist and TV Apprentice contestant Elizabeth McKenna.

Elizabeth 39, was driving over Trent Bridge in Nottingham, when she She noticed a goose walking down the busy road during morning rush hour

Elizabeth, who runs Flowers By Susan in King Street and in Portland Road, West Bridgford, said the goose was unable to get off the road due to safety barriers.

She decided to help the goose, blocked the road and chased it off Trent Bridge.

Describing the situation, Elizabeth said: “All of a sudden I saw this goose just walking down my lane. I was changing lanes so I put my hazards on and blocked the lane.

“I got out and thought ‘I need to move him’.”

Elizabeth says her rescue took no more than two minutes.
