Victim of fatal A617 crash named

Police have named a woman who died in a collision on the A617 on Thursday.

Caroline Sally Thursfield (50), of Upton, Newark, was driving a Saab convertible when it left the road and collided with a tree. She died at the scene.

The collision happened at about 10.15pm on Thursday 19th April on the A617, close to its junction with the A612, at Averham.

Witnesses are asked to call DC Katie Stokes, from the Crash Investigation Unit, on 101 extension 800 2225, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
