Veterans' breakfast club set to launch this weekend in Mansfield
A monthly breakfast club for Armed Forces veterans is to be launched in Mansfield his weekend.
Serving and former military personnel are being invited to the Bold Forester pub on Botany Avenue, Mansfield, for the first gathering on Saturday, October 8, starting at 10am.
The breakfast club, which is open to veterans and serving Armed Forces personnel from both the Mansfield and Ashfield areas, is being organised by Councillor Sean McCallum, Mansfield District Council’s Armed Forces champion.
Coun McCallum, Labour member for Sherwood ward, said: “It’ll be the first Saturday of each month.
“People can come along and have a chat and some food.”
