UPDATE: Severe A38 delays due to broken down lorry
A traffic incident caused severe delays getting on the M1 this afternoon after a lorry broke down.
The A38 experienced problems this afternoon (Tuesday, June 14) on the Northbound carriageway with disruption to motorists getting on the M1.
Highways England said the section of the road between the A61 Alfreton and M1 entry was congested with delays of up to 15 minutes against unexpected traffic, with one slow lane and one blocked before junction 28.
Traffic has now returned to normal.
