UPDATE: Four arrests after serious assault near Sutton pub last night

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries last night after an assault near a pub in Sutton.

The Picture House, Fox Street, Sutton, this morning.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident, which is believed to have happened close to The Picture House - a JD Wetherspoon.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “A 25-year-old man was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre with serious injuries following the incident in Fox Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at 11.25pm yesterday.

“A cordon has been put in place at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.”

Officers are questioning a 34-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and two 24-year-old men in connection with the incident.
