UPDATE: Derbyshire roads reopen after snow and ice
Snake Pass and Holme Moss have now reopened after being closed because of snow and ice.
A spokesman for Derbyshire County Council said: “Temperatures are going to fall quickly below zero this evening so we are expecting a widespread frost.
“Patchy ice is possible overnight.
“We’re gritting High Peak primary routes this afternoon and all other primary routes from 6pm tonight.
“We’ll also grit all primary routes again at 4am Tuesday morning.
“We’re also gritting all secondary routes this afternoon after doing the High Peak secondary routes this morning.”
