Upcoming temporary road closures for Sutton and Ashfield

No one wants to be stuck in a traffic jam and in the next couple of weeks there will be two temporary road closures so here is how to avoid them.

Testing at the Sutton Junction Level Crossing, will see Station Road in Sutton closed from a point 20 metres West of its Western Barrier to a point 20 metres East of its Eastern Barrier between midnight and 6am on Sunday, January 25.

The work is being carried out for Network Rail by Centurion Site Services.

A diversion route will take drivers down the B6022 Newark Road – B6139 Coxmoor Road – A38 Kings Mill Road East – B6022 Station Road and vice versa.

In Ashfield on Forest Road, Annesley from A611 Derby Road to Park Avenue will be closed daily from Monday, February 15 to Friday, February 19 between 9am and 4.30pm as Nottingham County Council resurface the carriageway.

The diversion route goes Via A611 Derby Road – Shoulder of Mutton Hill – Nuncargate Road – Skegby Road and vice versa.
