Two men killed in Ravenshead car crash

Two men have died after a road crash in Ravenshead.

It happened around 10pm last night (Sunday) at Longdale Lane at the junction with Gorse Hill at Ravenshead.

Three men were inside a silver Rover 218 when it went off the road and was in collision with a telegraph pole.

The driver and front seat passenger sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. A third man sustained injuries described as non-life threatening and was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre as a precaution.

Police have arrested three men, aged 20, 21, and 28, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They are not believed to have been in the vehicle that crashed.
