Two men appear in court after £1 million Class A drug find in Nottingham

Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the discovery of around £1 million worth of Class A drugs in Nottingham.

Sidney Love (45), of Pasture Close, Kirton near to Ollerton and Darren Earl Hayden (48) of Bramble Way, Cotgrave appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court this morning (8th November).

Four other people were also arrested on 6th and 7th November in connection with the operation led by Nottinghamshire Police in partnership with East Midlands Special Operations Unit-Serious and Organised Crime (EMSOU-SOC) and Suffolk Police.

The arrests followed the discovery of eight kilogrammes of cocaine, half a kilogramme of heroin and approximately 32 kilogrammes of amphetamine at a house in the Bestwood area of Nottingham in September.

Following an investigation, Hayden and Love were charged with multiple offences of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. The two men were remanded in custody at this morning’s court hearing.

The four other people to be arrested and charged were Gary Mitchell (25) of no fixed address, Luke Pollard (24) of Fenwick Road, Broxtowe, Lee Monaghan (26) of Bonnington Close, Bulwell and Karen McEvoy (48) of no fixed address.

All have been bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on 19th November.
