Two in court following assault on train passenger

TWO men will appear in court after violence on a train Alfreton.

They have been charged in relation to an incident on Saturday, 11th December last year, when a man was punched and bitten after he tried to retrieve a mobile phone that had been snatched from him.

A man from Leabrooks has been accused of theft and assault and bailed to appear at Chesterfield Magistrates Court on 28th.

A second from Ironville, charged with handling stolen good, has been bailed to appear on 30th March.

Both men were identified by member of the public after British Transport Police appeals i n the media.

Insp Granville Sellers said, “I would like to extend my thanks to the public for their help in coming forward and identifying the men pictured”.
