Two dead at Mansfield caravan site

The pair, who are believed to be known to one another, were treated by ambulance crews but were both pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are still trying to establish whether anyone else was involved.

Police have cordoned off Tall Trees Caravan Park at Forest Town.

A spokesman for East Midland ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 9.59pm on 28 August to a private address in Forest Town, Mansfield. The caller reported that two patients were experiencing life-threatening medical emergencies. We sent a paramedic in an ambulance car and a crewed ambulance to the scene.”
