Two charged with Mansfield's Currys PC World ram-raid

Two people have been charged with a ram raid at Mansfield's Currys PC World.

The raid in Mansfield was at 12.30am on August 28, were it is believed offenders placed wooden ramps in front of the main entrance of Currys PC World on Nottingham Road, and drove a red Renault Megane through the doors.

Two men, aged 34 and 49, have been charged with a total of 13 offences, including burglaries across Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

Wayne Lee Underwood, 49, of Cherry Tree Court, Swadlincote, has been charged with;

• Burglary at Curry’s PC World - Leicester

• Burglary at Curry’s PC World - Mansfield, Nottingham

• Burglary at Sainsbury’s – Oadby, Leicester

• Attempt Burglary at Curry’s PC World – Leicester

Jamie Sylvester, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with;

• Burglary at Curry’s PC World - Leicester

• Burglary at Curry’s PC World - Mansfield, Nottingham

• Burglary at Sainsbury’s – Oadby, Leicester

• Attempt Burglary at Curry’s PC World - Leicester

• Perverting the course of justice

• Going equipped to steal

• Making off without payment

• Two counts of driving with no insurance

Sylvester appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on 24 September and Underwood on 25 September; both were remanded. They are due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 22 October 2018.
