TV Crew explores life at Mansfield school

A Mansfield headteacher has thrown open the doors of her school to a television news crew for a series of ‘fly on the wall’ reports.

Peter Bearne, education correspondent on ITV News Central , spent a week with Sarah Moore, headteacher of Oak Tree Primary School, in Jubilee Way North.

During the five days of filming, journalists followed Sarah’s every move, including using a camera worn about her person and another rigged up in her office.

The series covers every aspect of her role - from teaching in the classroom and managing her staff, to disciplining pupils.

Sarah said: “The children and staff loved every minute, and I hope the series will show our school off in a really positive light ”

The five-part series will be broadcast on Central News at 6pm all next week, beginning on Monday 21st July.
