Three people have been arrested in connection with four incidents - including the bungled Wilkinson ram raid in Mansfield.
A 31-year-old man, 41-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, all from the Mansfield area, have been taken in for questioning.
The trio have been linked to the theft of a vehicle from Keith’s Motors on Victoria Street, a burglary at Wickes on Mansfield’s Chesterfield Road on Friday in which an assistant was threatened by three masked raiser carrying knives, and a robbery at a property consultant St John’s Street, Mansfield on 8th July.
They are also being questioned over the ram raid on Clumber Street in which a stolen Isuzu 4x4 was used to gain entry to the Wilkinson store and steal a stand-alone cash machine.
The machine was dragged around 50 yards but then dropped as the culprits drove off before abandoning the vehicle on James Murray Mews not far from the scene of the crime.
