Trio arrested in connection with Sutton shopping centre robbery

It relates to a report of a robbery which happened at H&T Pawnbrokers, in The Idlewells Shopping Centre, on Wednesday, July 18.

It was reported that two men entered the store and threatened a shop worker with a hammer before stealing a quantity of jewellery and watches.

During the robbery it was reported that a community protection officer was hit in the head with a baton.

Two men, aged 29 and 18, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

All three remain in police custody.
