THREE men will face a crown court trial in August after all denied murdering Mansfield man John-Paul Johnson.
Carl Green (24), Daniel Bastable (20) and Christopher Buckland (29) appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday.
All three had been on remand since they were arrested after Mr Johnson was found dead at his home on Chesterfield Road South in October 2011.
The trio, all also of Chesterfield Road South, were asked to enter pleas for the first time and all denied the killing.
Mr Johnson (42) was found dead at the property on Chesterfield Road South on 25th October.
A Home Office post-mortem examination later revealed he died as a result of chest injuries.
Green, Bastable and Buckland were arrested and charged with murder the same week.
After all three had entered not guilty pleas at Friday’s hearing judge John Milmo remanded all three men in custody again.
They are next due to appear in court at the start of their trial on 13th August before the recorder of Nottingham, judge Michael Stokes.
