Tributes to former colliery electrician

Mr Stephen Holmes, aged 45, of Leadale Crescent, Mansfield Woodhouse, was cremated at Mansfield Crematorium, following a service in the chapel.

Born at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton and a lifelong local resident, Stephen was an electrician at Welbeck Colliery from 1988-94, a domestic electrician from 1994-2014, then worked for Prolog Logistics from 2014-17.

Stephen passed away at home on October 28, 2017.

Ragsdale (rep Mr J. and S. Ragsdale), Mr J. Marshall, Mr C. Finch, Mrs S. Rick and Mr S. Bramley, Mrs S. Childerley, Mrs R. Greaves and Mr R. Young, Miss S. Greaves and Mr D. Wilkinson; Mrs K. Bradley (rep Mr K. Bradley), Mr P. Ashfield, Mr B. Edwards.

Representing Prolog Logistics were Miss A. Lester, Mr P. Hopkins, Mr L. Abbott, Mr J. Harris, Mr M. Gregory.

Floral tributes were from family and grandchildren. Donations received in lieu of flowers raised £400 for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.

The service was conducted by Clive Andrews and arrangements were by GA Townroe & Son.
