TRIBUTES have been paid to a Mansfield dad who was killed in a road crash on the A617 at Kirklington on Saturday.

Twenty-nine-year-old Ashley Ince suffered fatal injuries when the Vauxhall Corsa he was driving was in collision with a lorry between Southwell Road and Church Lane at around 5.15am on Saturday.

Mr Ince, who leaves behind two young children, grew up on Littleworth in Mansfield and was living on Patterson Place before he died.

Lena Sowter, of Littleworth News, used to employ Ashley as a paperboy around 15 years ago and said she was shocked when she heard about his death.

“He was a nice lad and was he was always very reliable as paperboy, which is what you want,” she said.

“I used to see him walking up the road every now and again and I used to speak to his mum when she came in the shop.

“It’s such a shame as he has two young children as well.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 0300 300 9999.
